I am a PhD candidate in the department of philosophy at Tulane University in New Orleans.

I primarily work within ethics and the philosophy of language, with historical research interests in the work of Wittgenstein and Heidegger.

I research. I investigate the limits of language and the myriad ways that this question impacts ethics, politics, religion, and the sciences. I research, write articles, and participate in organizations focused on historical and contemporary engagement with these topics.

I teach. Philosophy is an attitude, a series of methods, a collection of enduring questions, and a set of interweaving traditions. In courses ranging from the history of philosophy to environmental ethics and Buddhist philosophy, I strive to foster in my students intellectual curiosity, rigor, and responsibility.

I build philosophical community. Philosophy is an activity best done in concert with others actively doing philosophy. I bring together philosophers from across the country and from different traditions to share research and investigate together enduring philosophical issues.
